A mouth ulcer is a problem which is affecting the people worldwide. These are little sores that come up inside the mouth, on the tongue or gums. This is also the factor that comes in the causes of mouth ulcers. The practices like chewing hard foods and excess brushing may cause oral trauma. Some people also face this issue by using of toothpaste because it contains sodium lauryl sulfate as additive.
Stress and Anxiety:
You should have a look at the mental state of your child. If your child is in depression and feeling stressed while performing daily practices or feeling study burden, it may be the cause of mouth ulcers in your child.
Hormonal changes in the body is also comes under the causes of Mouth ulcers. Mostly these changes take place in the growing age of your children so hormonal condition may be the chance of mouth ulcer in your child.
Mouth ulcers usually look like round, white sores on the inner lining of your child’s mouth, or on the surface of his/her gums or tongue. They cause pain to your child especially when your child eats salty or spicy foods. It is possible that your child refuses food until the ulcers begin to heal. If your child is suffering from ulcers due to mouth infection, he might also have a fever. In the case of a severe issue mouth ulcer may cause following tremendous symptoms:
- Weight loss.
- Abdominal pain.
- Unexplained fevers.
- Blood or mucus in his stool.
- Neck stiffness and tiredness.
- Ulcer around his anus.
Generally, the ulcers subside automatically but in some cases, special treatment is recommended to your children. You can cure it in the following manner:
- Drinking plenty of water helps your child to get rid of their mouth ulcers.
- Using natural anesthetic products for dealing the pain in sores will give you relief.
- You can do gargle with warm salt water.
